Only I get to decide what that looks like and trust me, it’s fantastic! #transTRUTH

“What does gender identity mean to me?” #transtruth (at City of Monrovia)
In honor of the #TransTruth campaign going on right now, I just want to say that learning what the words non-binary and genderqueer meant finally gave me the context for the relationship I had always had with my gender.
Growing up I didn’t fit in as a boy, and as an adult I didn’t fit in as a “man.” When I started to wonder if I might be transgender, I became even more confused. I didn’t feel like I was in the category “woman” any more than the category “man,” though I do identify as transfeminine.
The words non-binary and genderqueer added a substance to my relationship with my gender, and validated an identity I didn’t quite understand before. I’m so grateful that other non-binary/genderqueer people told their stories so I could figure out mine <3

#transtruth post to boost gender nonconforming visibility online and in social media. Write what gender means to you. I don’t really care about pronouns though tbh. Call me Cody ☺️
